Behind The Flowers
Hi, I’m Amie—the hands and heart behind The Flower Shed.
We’re an urban flower farm based in Boise, Idaho, growing from the front and backyard of our home.
The Flower Shed began in 2023 designing florals for weddings and events. That work shaped how I grow today. Over time, I became more aware of how many flowers in the industry are imported, handled heavily, and disconnected from the seasons they’re meant to reflect. Meanwhile, the most beautiful stems I found were those grown close to home.
That realization led me to shift my focus—toward growing high-quality, seasonal flowers myself, with care from seed to harvest.
Our space is just under a third of an acre, now dedicated to production. What started as a simple reworking of our yard has become an efficient, productive growing space with about 2,000 square feet in cultivation and more added each season.
As a mother and grower, I’m mindful of how I spend my time and what I build. This work is both rooted in daily faithfulness and a desire to steward what we’ve been given well.
I grow with florists in mind, focusing on varieties that bring movement, texture, and a natural feel to arrangements—feverfew, snapdragons, campanula, Queen Anne’s lace, amaranthus, dahlias, zinnias, scabiosa, yarrow, and more. Each stem is harvested at its peak and handled with care to ensure quality and longevity.
The Flower Shed supplies local florists with seasonal, locally grown blooms, offers bulk flowers for DIY events, and accepts a limited number of custom orders during the growing season.
If you value flowers that are grown with care and in season, you’re in the right place.
